Forum and Workshop: Unite and fight U.S. state violence!

Friday October 27
6:00pm – 8:00pm
Indianapolis Liberation Center
1800 N Meridian St. Ste. 305

U.S. imperialism’s body counts keep piling up across the world. The U.S.-backed Israeli colonial regime unleashed a bombardment of unimaginable proportions, the Biden administration continues occupying the southern half of Korea, and the IMPD killed five people in the last two months. These are not separate events but different aspects of the same system of death and destruction funded by U.S. tax dollars. What the military does across the globe, the police do right here in our own streets.

By collaborating through the Indianapolis Liberation Center, the Party for Socialism and Liberation has been involved in each of these struggles. This month, the PSL’s “Liberation Forum” contributes to the Center’s mission of connecting the various struggles of Indy’s oppressed and marginalized by analyzing and discussing the commonality at the root of these three deadly issues. We’ll explore how the the U.S. empire and racist police violence are tied to the Israeli apartheid regime and the occupation of Korea.

Typically, we use these monthly forums as opportunities to reflect on the struggles in which we’re engaged because activism on its own leads nowhere, as does theory on its own. Because we are engaged simultaneously in the struggle for Palestinian liberation, justice for Gary Harrell, and the international peace movement for Korea right now, this will be our first “Liberation Forum and Workshop!” We’ll combine analysis and action, preparing materials for Saturday’s rally and march for Gary Harrell, organizing actions in support of the heroic Palestinian resistance, and planning an upcoming international solidarity trip to East Asia!

Between 6:00 – 8:00 pm, we’ll pack in a few powerful presentations, engage in formal dialogue with speakers, and get to work organizing for the Rally and March for Gary Harrell the next day! While fighting for Gary, we’ll be fighting for Palestine and for Korea. While fighting for Palestine, we’ll be fighting for Gary and the liberation of Black America and Korea from U.S. imperialism.

Join us for an evening of learning, building, socializing, and organizing! Come late, leave early, or pop in during the following schedule:

Doors Open: 6:00 – 6:30 pm
Presentations: 6:30 – 7:00 pm
Discussion: 7:00 – 7:20 pm
Workshop: 7:20 – 8:00 pm
