Free the Pendleton 2! IDOCWatch activist workshop

Saturday, April 6
6:00 pm – 8:00 pm EST
Indianapolis Liberation Center
1800 N. Meridian St., Suite 305

If you’re counting down the days until the Rally to Free the Pendleton 2 and wishing there was another way to get involved, then come out on Saturday, April 6th, with FOCUS Families, IDOCWatch, the Indianapolis Liberation Center, and the Defense Committee to Free the Pendleton 2 as we gear up for the weekend and prepare to struggle out in the streets.

Get to know organizers behind the scenes while learning about the signs you’ll see at the action, how to make them, why we dedicate our energy to making them, and the collective thought that goes into their design and message. Discuss the current struggle against the prison-industrial complex here in Indianapolis, the importance of fighting for the liberation of political prisoners, and why it’s important that we build a mass movement for abolition.

After a short workshop, we’ll start assembling and building placards and community. After, take home reading materials about the struggle to free the Pendleton 2 and all political prisoners, as well as the general movement to abolish the prison-industrial complex. Volunteers are welcome to stay after assembly and chat!

No previous volunteer experience is needed, so if you’ve been looking for ways to join the movement but weren’t sure how, we hope you’ll stop by! This event is free to the public and parking is provided in the lot northwest of the building. The Indianapolis Liberation Center is funded exclusively through donations, so if you’d like to give back and help us continue our work, consider donating here!
