Volunteer at the People’s Power Urban Farm!

In 2020, the Socialist Climate Initiative of Indiana and Party for Socialism and Liberation started the People’s Power Urban Garden. The project is a response to the pressing needs of poor and working-class people in our city: for free, healthy, and accessible food; for green spaces; for opportunities to work together and learn from each other; and to build political consciousness about exploitation, oppression, food systems, and the environment.

Working in cooperation with community garden networks in the Riverside neighborhood, such as Growin’ Good in the Hood, the PPUG is rapidly expanding to meet the needs of a community which has long suffered from food desertification and inequitable access to fresh staples.

Relying on volunteer labor and donations from individuals and community groups, we donated last year’s crops to the No Questions Asked Food Pantry.

Volunteer shifts are currently every Friday from 2-4pm. Fill out the form below and we’ll be in touch!
