Strike4Gaza: Community day feat. Mike Prysner

Monday, April 15
12:00 pm – 5:00 pm

Indianapolis Liberation Center

Join striking workers, organizers with ANSWER Indiana, Students for Socialism – IU Indy, PSL Indianapolis, and Liberation Center volunteers for a day of community building and political education, including a pitch-in lunch, a showing of the documentary, Gaza Fights for Freedom, a Q&A with Writer and Producer Mike Prysner, a group reading from Palestine, Israel, and the U.S. Empire, by Richard Becker, and a placard assembly to prepare for the April 19 protest on Monument Circle.

The movement to Shut It Down for Palestine has called for a national strike April 15 in support of the Palestinian people as they face an ongoing genocide. Thousands of workers across the country will be calling off work, walking out of school, and avoiding any activity that stimulates the economy. Together we will raise our voices and emphatically reject the ruling class’s attempts to sweep Palestine under the rug. We say: no business as usual during a genocide!

The Indianapolis Liberation Center will serve as a gathering space for those striking on April 15. The ruling class wants us isolated and disconnected, but we know that the struggle can only be built by forging unity.

Program

12:00 – 1:00pm – Potluck lunch

1:00 – 2:00 pm – Placard assembly (in preparation for an upcoming rally on Friday, April 19 at 6pm at Monument Circle) and read-aloud from Palestine, Israel, and the U.S. Empire

3:00 – 5:00 pmGaza Fights for Freedom screening and Q&A with the films writer and producer, Mike Prysner

Join us for this historic occasion and see that our collective impact can jolt the ruling class out of their hypnotic state, as they continue accumulating ever more money during an ongoing genocide. Let’s not only hit them where it hurts—their pockets—but also come together to sharpen our understanding of the ongoing struggle in Palestine and help forge a victorious path ahead!
