The work created at the Indianapolis Liberation Center’s June 21 “Tell me how it ends” community art workshop is now on display at the Herron School of Art + Design! Whether or not you were able to attend the workshop, you can experience how stories we think of as individual are really part of a powerful common narrative.
The work, which is one part of an exhibit that also includes work by Ayo Jackson and Johanna Winters is one that transforms individual personal experiences into collective political and artistic realities. Arte Mexicano en Indiana and the Center of which we are a member-organization extend our deepest gratitude to artist Gloria Martinez Granados for leading the workshop that allowed our community to participate in a transformative experience and living project. We are also thankful for our partnership with the Indiana Undocumented Youth Alliance (IUYA) that helped organize the event.
