The Board of Trustees of Newfields, the Indianapolis Museum of Art, has unceremoniously sacked CEO Dr. Colette Pierce Burnette, a highly qualified Black woman who was hired to clean up the mess after a job posting for museum director sought a candidate who would “maintain the Museum’s traditional, core, white art audience.”
In her place, the Board has appointed a white banker as interim CEO. Come out to demand the reinstatement of Dr. Burnette and the removal of racist bankers from the Newfields’ Board of Trustees!
