The workers of Indianapolis have a lot of real concerns on their mind, whether it’s Trump’s administration’s “Big Beautiful Bill,” the devastating gun violence within our communities, or the inability of the local Democratic party to take action against Mayor Hogsett—and now Councilman Graves—for their repeated sexual violence against women, the list goes on.
These issues are in no way new, and they all stem from the core of this rotten, backwards system: capitalism. America is a country that relies entirely on the labor of hardworking people both here and abroad, and yet? Workers hold no political power. This is where the revolutionary Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL) comes in.
We urgently need a new system, one with a planned economy that addresses and prioritizes the needs of the people and the planet, not profit. This system is called socialism.
Our current task is preparing—through collective study and struggle—for the inevitability of revolution. Voting in reforms will never be enough as long as the billionaires keep getting richer and our tax dollars continue to fund tearing apart families of immigrant workers, lynching black men in the streets, and raining bombs on Gaza.
Come out Tuesday night to hear from members of the Indianapolis PSL branch. Be sure to bring your friends, your questions, and, most importantly, your revolutionary spirit. Because a better world, a world run by and for the working people, is possible. We just need to get organized!
