Naeem Trotter from the Pendleton 2 will be having a Post-Convict Relief Hearing for a possible re-sentencing on the grounds of ineffective counsel representation, and he needs all the support we can give him.
We are entering into the 42nd year Naeem has been captured by the settler-colonial state in Indiana for standing up and saving the life of his fellow inmate, Lincoln Love, and exerting his right to self-defense against the white-supremist and state-sanctioned violence those incarcerated experience. As a grandfather and an elder with severe medical conditions, now more than ever it is time for him to come home.
On October 29th at 1:30PM at Madison County Government Center, Naeem will present evidence to the state in defense of his case, serving as his own counsel. Join us as we stand in solidarity with Naeem and silently demonstrate our support through strength in numbers to show the state there are eyes watching.
To facilitate maximum attendance, we’re organizing a car caravan to the hearing from the Muncie Liberation Studio (address above, located next to Chavas and China Express). If you need a ride, meet us at the Liberation Studio at 12:00 pm and scan the qr code blow. If you have extra space and can drive others to the hearing, please fill out this form!
Note: This is not the time for protest. Those who attend the hearing must be respectful and maintain a level of composure, as we do not want this to backfire at Naeem’s possibility of freedom.
