Calling all kings, queens, and celestial beings!
The Liberation Center is proud to host our very first Trans Pride “Brick” Party for Pride Month this year. We will be hosting an all ages, family friendly block party to celebrate the lives and victories made by the trans and queer community of Indianapolis. We will have food, vendors, an all ages drag show, and a resource fair. Whether you’re ready to bring the house down at our drag show or just seeking resources at our fair, we will have it all!
As the far-right capitalist administration is ramping up its attacks against the trans and broader queer communities in the United States, it’s now more important than ever to come together as working-class people and fight for trans, queer, and all of our liberation. Let’s start by meeting up and strengthening our social relationships throughout Indianapolis. We learn from our history and the organized militant queer movements that came before us to carry the torch forward for liberation of all people. From Stonewall, Compton’s Cafeteria Riot, STAR to ACT UP, the struggle for queer liberation has been interwoven into the struggle against capitalism, imperialism, and patriarchy.
