McCord Park
3600 Watson Road
Join the Touch Grass, Indy book club as we come together to discuss Robin Wall Kimmerer’s profound and bestselling book, “Braiding Sweetgrass: Indigenous Wisdom, Scientific Knowledge, and the Teachings of Plants.”
This isn’t your average book club. We’re building a community rooted in a deeper connection with the living world around us. Kimmerer’s book beautifully braids science, spirit, and story, guiding readers toward a more reciprocal and grateful relationship with the earth. We’ll explore these themes in a casual, open discussion at McCord Park.
Don’t have the book yet? No problem! You can still join us to connect and learn about the themes. If you’d like to grab a copy, we encourage you to support one of our fantastic local bookstores:
- Indy Reads
- Tomorrow Bookstore
- Irvington Vinyl & Books
- The Whispering Shelf
- Loudmouth Books
- Golden Hour Books
What to Bring:
- A folding chair or blanket for comfort.
- Your curiosity and ideas for the discussion.
- (Optional) Your copy of “Braiding Sweetgrass.”
Let’s touch grass, build community, and grow together. We hope to see you there!
