On October 23, Shaka A. Shakur was one of four featured speakers that participated in “The Carceral Republics” panel at The People’s Forum in New York City. Organized in conjunction with 1804 Books, BreakThrough News, and the Polis Project, the event featured authors, editors, publishers, and organizers connected to Shaka’s forthcoming book, Manifestations of Thought, as well as The Trinity of Fundamentals and How Long Can the Moon Be Caged? Voices of Indian Political Prisoners.
