Shaka Shakur’s new booklet, The Right To Be Free: Fighting For Liberation Behind Enemy Lines, available for purchase here, was produced by the Indianapolis Liberation Center, of which Free Shaka Shakur is a member organization. The new body of work is a succinct yet comprehensive examination of the relentless oppression of the U.S. mass incarceration system and the enduring fight for justice through the lenses of the New Afrikan revolutionary theorist, organizer, and writer.
Shakur’s prolific bibliography stretches back decades and includes political documents that remain fundamental to the New Afrikan Independence Movement, and the texts here span the years of 2000 to 2024. In addition to a new preface, Shakur and his comrades selected the texts in this book because they offer the most compelling introduction to his organizational theory, radical vision, and revolutionary humanity.
The Right To Be Free is available for only $8 at the Liberation Center, and USPS media mail is available. Discounts are possible for bulk orders and for other freedom organizations. Please contact Free Shaka Shakur if you’re interested.
