In this powerful yet compact speech, Pastor Jamil Campbell introduces Liberation Theology, a tradition that reclaims the revolutionary roots of Christianity in word and deed, applying it to assist the struggles of oppressed peoples worldwide. As part of our annual Black August Liberation Forum, Campbell speech focuses on how Black Liberation Theology and the Black Church has, does, and will concretely contribute to the struggle for identity and Black Liberation.
Originally from Haughville, Campbell has served as pastor at several churches over the past seven years and is currently a chaplain at Life’s Journey Hospice, where he spreads the word of love and power to the Black community.
