Jada Trainor was brutalized by cops at the hospital last year. After over a year of delays, her pre-trial starts Wednesday.
Instead of charging the abusive, racist police who brutally beat Jada, a Black mother and Air Force veteran who was seeking urgent medical attention and was ignored and then discharged by Eskenazi Hospital staff, Ryan Mears is moving forward with his trial against Jada.
The cops who attacked Jada claimed she was reaching for their weapons—while she was on the ground with her arm pinned under her body. The only “evidence” the prosecutors have is the cop’s word. While police lies have been enough to convict Black people on trumped-up charges in the past, we are determined not to let it happen to Jada or anyone else!
