Reading with Comrades Presents: ‘Revolutionary Education, Theory and Practice for Socialist Organizers’. Promoting socialist consciousness is one of the central tasks of building a revolutionary movement in the U.S. As the country approaches its 250th year, many people are waking up to the contradictions and atrocities that the capitalist system presents. In Revolutionary Education, we learn what it means to build an organized and intentional effort of an expansive base of militant organizers equipped to intervene in a variety of campaigns and movements. Such organizers are not only activists but also educators.
Together, over the next three weeks, we will be studying a range of themes in Marxist educational praxis, increasing our knowledge of diverse historical movements and how these lessons can inform our own practice today in pre-revolutionary times. With all “Reading with Comrades,” no prior reading or political knowledge is necessary. Whether you are familiar with socialist organizing or wanting to learn, this group is for everyone who is ready to study with us to inspire and refine our struggle and fight for socialism and liberation of all oppressed and working people.
