Liberation Forum: Path to Peace: From Korea to Ukraine, July 29
Friday July 29th
6:00-8:00 pm
Indianapolis Liberation Center
55 S. State Ave. 3rd Floor The global political situation is increasingly unstable. The February 2022 Russian intervention into Ukraine ushered in a new political era. For the last three decades, world politics was defined by the unipolar domination of U.S. imperialism. China, Russia, Iran, Cuba, Venezuela, North Korea, and others have protested this unpopular hegemonic position of the U.S. and are increasingly standing up for themselves. Where do we go from here? What historical context do we need to better understand our current situation to figure out what those of us in the progressive and peace movements in the U.S. need to do? At this Liberation Forum, we’ll dig into these pressing issues facing our class at the global level, focusing in particular on the U.S. imperialist war against Korea and the U.S./NATO war in Ukraine. Join us for unique and politically useful analysis as we hear from several speakers who have each been deeply involved in the international peace movement for several years now.
