As Trump’s billionaire agenda wreaks havoc at home, he threatens war and ethnic cleansing abroad. This February 15, join PSL Indianapolis for an international day of action to Shut it Down 4 Palestine. We demand liberation not just for the Palestinian people, but for all workers displaced due to the actions of the U.S. state!
People do not just spontaneously decide to leave their home countries, as the ruling class would have us believe. Imperialist nations like the U.S. create immigrants through economic policies that benefit themselves at the expense of local populations, through political coups that unseat genuine leaders in favor of U.S. puppets, and “diplomatic” belligerency. Trump’s plan for Gaza is more of the same—partner with real estate agencies and developers for the benefit of settlers and their U.S. allies at the expense of Palestinians—most of whom have been displaced at least once already.
As Trump attacks the working class on the other side of the world, his attacks here at home will not go unchallenged. Democratic Minority leader Hakeem Jeffries admitted this week that the Democrats will not fight this rightwing billionaire agenda in any way. It is up to the working people to mobilize and fight Trump—only through unity can we defeat the threats to our communities!
