The Indiana chapter of the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC Indiana) invites all to attend the book club discussion of The Trinity of Fundamentals by Wisam Rafeedie, which is available at the Liberation Center Store for pickup or shipping. The group will discuss chapters 1-6 of the newly-released publication by 1804 Books. Just last year, the book was published in English for the first time, allowing a new audience to witness  the harrowing struggle and steadfastness of a revolutionary fighter in occupied Palestine.

The book delves into the life of Kan’an (whose life closely mirrors that of Rafeedie), who at the age of 22 receives an assignment from his revolutionary party the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) to go underground to preserve the integrity of the revolutionary movement from Zionist repression. Kan’an’s character teaches us the lengths that we must go to in order to find our liberation and the sacrifices it may take in order to fight oppression and genocide of a people. Throughout all this, Kan’an maintains a spirit of revolutionary optimism so strong that the reader is bound to be transformed. It is all the more moving to know that Kan’an’s story is inspired by the real life experience of the author as he organized and struggled against the Zionist oppression of his people.

The first discussion in the book club will meet virtually. Learn more about the long road of Palestinian resistance with other Hoosiers. Then, keep yourself in the fight for a free and liberated Palestine! Get involved with our friends at ADC Indiana and ANSWER Indiana!
