From May 24 – 26 over 3600 organizers and activists from the frontlines of the struggle for Palestinian liberation gathered in Detroit, Michigan for the People’s Conference for Palestine. Over the three days the participants built unity, forged connections across geographical regions, shared lessons, and strategized about the future of the movement for Palestine in North America and around the world.
On Saturday, June 22, leading organizers from groups that helped to convene the conference, such as the Palestinian Youth Movement and the ANSWER Coalition, as well as members of local organizations, including the Middle Eastern Student Association – IUPUI and the Party for Socialism and Liberation – Indianapolis, will gather at the Indianapolis Liberation Center to pass along the knowledge and energy they gained from the powerful conference. Seeking to go beyond just sharing knowledge, the event will also include a discussion section as organizers work collectively to find ways to put their newfound knowledge into action here, in Indianapolis, as we struggle for a liberated Palestine.
As the Israeli genocide in Gaza nears its ninth month, it is imperative that we regroup and renew our dedication to this crucial struggle for liberation. Don’t miss out on this chance to strengthen our collective understanding of our current situation and the path forward to victory!
