Ahead of the misleadingly-named Indianapolis Local Education Alliance vote, teachers, parents, students, and community members will gather outside of the halls of power to make our demands and voices heard.
Organized by the Indianapolis Education Association and Central Indiana Democratic Socialists of America with support from the Indianapolis Liberation Center, the rally will serve notice to the ILEA just before they, in all likelihood, vote to strip public control over public resources (including schools, transportation networks, decision-making processes, and more).
And remember: the power lies with us, the workers who make this city run. The outcome will be determined in the streets, not in the executive boardrooms.
