As Trump’s foreign policy focus shifts away from Russia and toward Latin America and the Pacific, the Democratic Party is up in arms because he seems to be abandoning “our” allies in the Ukraine, even calling Trump a “ventriloquist” of Vladimir Putin. In this moment, it’s crucial that progressives have a clear understanding of not only Trump’s reorientation or the U.S./NATO war in Ukraine, but about the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) itself. Many are rightly wondering: what is the NATO; and how exactly did Russia find itself “right on NATO’s doorstep,” as Hillary Clinton once put it?

Come out for a screening of “NATO Targets Yugoslavia,” an anti-war documentary featuring original on-the-ground footage and interviews from the 1999 NATO war against the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. Watch the 78 days of untold destruction, bombing bridges, hospitals, schools, and dropping up to 11 tons of depleted uranium across the country that NATO considers “humanitarian intervention” in Yugoslavia.

We’re honored to be joined virtually by filmmaker Gloria La Riva as we learn the truth about why NATO should be abolished and what Trump’s foreign policy means for the anti-war movement in the U.S.
