Local independent media covers first Hope Packages assembly

On January 13, 2021, Indy Hope Packages held its first public event – an assembly with a short program – at its headquarters at the A&P Building in downtown Indianapolis. Local independent media outlet, Critical Thought Critique, was present and we are grateful they covered our inaugural event.

Watch their video below, which features co-founder Sam James and project volunteers. They speak about the project’s goals, why it is an act of solidarity rather than charity, and how it emerged from the successful struggle against Prop. 291. Hope Packages is a collaboration between PSL Indianapolis and Indy10 Black Lives Matter.
