Emancipatory Motions: Political Yoga

Our world is in constant motion, yet many of us are forced to spend the vast majority of our lives compartmentalized. At work, we sit in chairs at desks; we stand on our feed taking and preparing orders; we take tools (or part of a machine) in our hands to perform the same operation again and again. We are also taught to separate the mind from the body, as if the mind wasn’t part of the body. In short, the systems we live under alienate us from not only each other, but ourselves.

Emancipatory Motions is a yoga practice that repairs the damage this alienation causes by reconnecting us with our selves as beings in complex motion–together. They meet at the Liberation Center every Sunday at 6 pm. To support Sena and the Center, we ask for a $10 – $15 donation, although no one is turned away for a lack (or excess) of funds. You can make your donation at the door or online here.

Please fill out the form below so we can ensure we have enough space for everyone!
