Culture is at the heart of our conception of and relationship to the world. It is the way we talk, the way we walk and the air we breathe. So we must understand it as something even broader than just the arts – it is a weapon being wielded by all sides.
Historically, culture has been used as a tool to further struggles for justice in the U.S. and around the world. As our communities experience a full-out assault from the Trump administration, we must understand how the far-right uses culture, as well, in its pursuit to rewrite history.
