Tremayne Hobson is currently held at Pendleton Correctional Facility. On November 3, he was told that someone on staff was related to him and was subsequently placed in solitary confinement. No relatives of his work at the prison and he was not accused of misconduct in the prison.

He was originally told that he would be transferred to another prison on an emergency basis, but has since been told that he is not on the emergency transfer list.

While he sits in solitary, he cannot be a part of educational opportunities or other programming that he should have access to. Furthermore, the conditions of the solitary wing are unsafe, with heaters constantly running making the prison unbearably hot and undrinkable water.

He has lost 34 pounds just since being moved at the start of last month. Solitary confinement is also taking a toll on his mental health, and the United Nations Nelson Mandela Rules for prisoner treatment recognize indefinite and prolonged solitary confinement as tantamount to torture.
