Tenant Advocate Project workshop for Indy residents facing eviction

December 12, 2023
6:00 pm to 8:00 pm
Indianapolis Liberation Center

1800 N Meridian St, Ste. 305

The Project Manager for the city’s Tenant Advocate Project (TAP), Andy Beck, will join us on Tuesday, December 12 at 6:00 pm to talk about TAP and their work in all nine of our township eviction courts. TAP provides legal counsel to those facing evictions in Indianapolis. When our community is equipped with knowledge of tenants’ rights and learn that there are organizations available to help us stay in our homes, then we can breathe a little easier and focus on making other aspects of our lives, and ultimately, our city, a better place to live and work.

The Indianapolis Liberation Center is committed to fighting for adequate housing for all. It is only with a roof over our heads that we can focus on bettering our lives and society. The anxiety and stress generated when forced to make decisions between eating and keeping up with skyrocketing rent and property taxes is unnecessary, yet a cruel reality facing many Hoosiers across the state. Lack of affordable housing puts working poor and oppressed people in a precarious situations.
