Organizers with the Indy Liberation Center and Indiana committee of the Shaka Shakur Freedom Campaign are excited to announce the local big-screen debut of “Across Enemy Lines: Shaka A. Shakur” at the Living Room Theaters! After the film, we’ll have what will certainly be a lively and informative panel with Rev. Davanta Scruggs, the cousin of Dalys Jett and movement leader, and Nino Brown, an organizer with Jericho Chicago, the Chicago Liberation Center. A fundraiser for the Shaka Shakur Freedom Campaign, the event is part of the Nationwide Week of Action for Shaka Shakur.
The event starts at 7:00 pm but doors open at 5:30 for anyone who wants to get dinner, a snack, drinks first, check out the Shaka Shakur Freedom Campaign and Indy Liberation Store tables, and/or just build with us!
Tickets are only $25 and include a 3-hour parking voucher and SSFC button. Everyone who arrives by 6:00 also gets a free limited edition 11×17 documentary art print!
Whenever you arrive, you can order food and drinks to be delivered right to your seat so you don’t have to miss anything.
Many thanks to Rev. Davanta Scruggs and Nino Brown, two of our panelists, for dedicating their time to the cause. Be sure to visit the new Justice for Dalys Jett website to keep up on the struggle here!
