Local activist and videographer Jae Henson recently released a full-length documentary, “Parallel to Apartheid – Indianapolis, IN Chapter 1: Police Enforcement and Brutality,” making it publicly accessible to the people through Ray Street Media.
The documentary includes a range of footage from local incidents of and struggles against police terror, background information on the recent history of the movement, as well as two lengthy and informative interviews. The first is with Pastor Davanta R. Scruggs Sr., cousin of recent IMPD victim Dalys Jett, and the second is with longtime-organizer Noah Leininger, who helped found the Indy Liberation Center and played a key role in PSL Indianapolis’ MaskOff12 project.
