When JPS Events decided to host an annual art show titled “ELEVATE: A Tapestry of Indy’s Communities,” it only made sense to pick Vernon T. Bateman as their inaugural featured artist. After all, Vernon spends each day weaving the broken fabric of our society back together into what will soon be a beautiful quilt. Moreover, he invites everyone he encounters along to join him in his advocacy.
