AFSCME local 3395 representing library workers in collaboration with the Indianapolis Liberation Center invites members of the public to come to the next board meeting on Monday, July 26 at 6:30PM at the Library Service Center located at 2450 N Meridian St (behind Jimmy John’s and just north of Lincoln Square Pancake House).
We encourage you all to sign up to make a public comment and let the board know that we need leadership changes now. You will need to sign up to make a public comment before the board meeting begins at 6:30PM so please arrive early. CEO Jackie Nytes and Board President Judge Jose Salinas need to resign immediately so that we end the racist abuse and other forms of discrimination directed at library workers ends!
The Indianapolis community deserves a library system that truly serves our diverse needs and that can only happen if library workers are treated with dignity and respect by leadership to better serve our community. If you can’t make it to the board meeting but would like to write a statement to be read during public comment, submit your comment at least 24 hours in advance here. Show up for your public library and let the toxic leadership know they have to go! We deserve better for our city!
