Sunday, January 11
1:00-5:00 pm
1619 Prospect Street
Have you cleared off a bookshelf and found a forgotten progressive book you’d like to find a new home for? Do you create art or handmade goods that speak to a revolutionary struggle or radical icon?
The Indy Liberation Store is excited to announce our first community donation drive on Sunday, January 11, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Your donated books and art will be sold in our storefront, with every dollar fueling the Liberation Center’s mission to educate, agitate, and organize right here in Indianapolis.
Why we’re hosting this drive
The Liberation Center is an all-volunteer-run space—an actual labor of love where we literally pay to keep the lights on for the movement. The Indy Liberation Store, as a project of the Center, exists to be a one-stop shop for organizers, providing radical education, art, and tools for the fight, with a special focus on struggles here in our city.
To grow sustainably and keep our prices accessible, we rely on the power of our community. This drive is an act of mutual aid in motion. The books, art, and goods you donate will be sold in our storefront, with every dollar going directly back to sustaining the Liberation Center’s rent, utilities, and vital programming. Your donated book isn’t just a book; it’s an hour of heat, a month of internet for organizing, or a contribution to our community fund.
