Liberated Readers: Stories of coming together

Saturday, September 14
11:00 am – 12:00 pm
Indianapolis Liberation Center

We’re back with the second Liberated Readers Story Time presented by the Indiana Black Librarians Network!

First, Vice President of IBLN Dr. Charles Sutton will read stories on coming together and strengthening community. We will then practice our numbers and colors. Sutton is an assistant professor of library and information science at the IU Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering. He is a community organizer and conducts research in community-generated information.

The Liberated Readers Story Time provides our kids an opportunity to learn and socialize. We invite kids ages 0-8 years old to come together and celebrate our love of reading and going on an adventure through stories.

While our Liberated Readers Story Time is specifically for children and parents, it’s not the only event where we encourage parents to bring their children to the Center! Children are welcome at all of our events and childcare is available upon request. We maintain a comfortable and welcoming space that strengthens our community and ensures our kids are set up on the path to be lifelong learners.
