The Supreme Court’s Grants Pass ruling criminalizes homelessness in several states and signals a green light for the rest to follow suit. Hope Packages, which grew out of a struggle to defeat anti-homeless Prop. 291 in 2020, is more urgent, timely, and important than ever. But to really fight back and defeat anti-homeless laws, we have to grasp the history of the Supreme Court and the fight over housing and public space. Help us provide political direct-aid to our homeless neighbors while steeling for a new phase in the struggle for the right to housing in Indianapolis.
In the meantime by donating to Hope Packages or becoming a monthly Sustainer at whatever price you can afford.
You can also purchase items directly from our Amazon wish list that will be sent to the Indianapolis Liberation Center.
This Saturday, we will hear from a Hope Packages volunteer about the Supreme Court’s long history of leveraging its power against working people, discuss the role Hope Packages’ 10 Point Program can play in ending not just the criminalization of homelessness, but homelessness itself, and more. Come Build solidarity with your neighbors and learn from your community as we work toward collective liberation!
If you have questions or want to get more involved, reach out to us in person at the Center, email info@indyhopepackages.org, or fill out the form below!
