Looking to express yourself with a like-minded audience while browsing for reading material during the Indie Indy Book Crawl 2026? Head to the Indy Liberation Center and Store on Friday, March 20, for a socialist open mic night hosted by the #STFU Artist Collective!
In a time where the ultra-rich are doing everything they can to isolate and divide us from our neighbors, be it through racism, xenophobia, homophobia, and transphobia, etc, it’s important now more than ever that we resist in every way we can. Coming together to create and share art is just as needed, as urgent as attending a rally or as informative as a study group, but it’s just as necessary. Connecting with other members of our class breaks down the walls the ruling class is attempting to place between us and serves as a crucial act of resistance in its own right.
The #STFU Artist Collective celebrates the avant-garde—in doing so, they also aim to champion the artists who create it and the communities they represent. We hope to continue connecting artists with other artists—and to give those who push the envelope of what is considered “art” the platform to do what they do best. As always, STFU continues to invite all artists (across mediums) to shape and collaborate.
Let our rage not be what isolates us, but the force that unites us and propels us to action.
All forms of self-expression are welcome. Original works or works that inspire you are welcome; feel free to bring along your poems, music, comedy, and other talents, and join us for a night of joy and connection.
RSVP here for $5 or donate $10 at the door. We hope to see you there!
