“Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today.”
– Malcolm X

PSL Indianapolis is honoring the 100th anniversary of Malcolm X’s birth at our May Liberation Forum with a thorough analysis of his ideology and its relevance to today’s political climate. Remembered as a militant, disciplined, self-determined revolutionary, Malcolm X organized against the injustices thrust upon Black people in the United States by the ruling class. He drew the connections to violence and struggles all oppressed people around the world were experiencing at the hands of global imperialism.

Because Malcolm X’s concept of Black Liberation had an internationalist character and was rooted in the U.S., we continue his work educating our people that “you can’t have capitalism without racism” by recovering the revolutionary origins of Memorial Day. Through Malcolm X’s lens, we’ll examine Indiana laws set to take effect July 1 and the struggle against U.S. imperialism through a report-back from the People’s Assembly for Peace and Justice, an anti-NATO action in Dayton, Ohio.

As always, hear first-hand updates about local struggles and find out how to plug in and build the movement for the society we deserve! If you’re ready to start struggling with us, learn more about the PSL or apply to join!
