Monument Circle (Southside)
With the March for “Life” and the 51st anniversary of Roe v. Wade approaching, now is the time to show up and show out for abortion rights and reproductive justice! Let’s demonstrate that Hoosiers believe in the right to choose—not in restrictive, undemocratic abortion bans. Abortion care is healthcare, and without it Hoosiers will die. We know that our legislators, both Republican and Democrat, are not concerned with winning these rights back, but our fight is not over. We know that through struggle and sacrifice, we can take back and secure what’s been stolen from us and build a better future where reproductive justice isn’t something that can be taken away, but a reality for every human being, here and across the globe.
We need to struggle against the grim realities the Dobbs decision that overturned Roe v. Wade in 2022 brought poor and oppressed people and fight for abortion care as a guaranteed right instead of something a handful of unelected judges, who are appointed for life, can reverse at any moment.
We can build the struggle in Indianapolis that connects us to the struggles against oppression and exploitation the world over. Make your voice heard and be a part of the people’s struggle towards a brighter, freer future!
The march will begin and end on Monument Circle. Be sure to check the weather ahead of time and dress accordingly, as it will likely be cold, and remember that parking downtown is free on Sundays.
