Support the Liberation Center’s fund drive to maintain our full-time staff!
Calling all fiber artists! Are you skilled enough to make a winter hat? Join Hope Packages this January for a knitting and crochet circle to work up some beanies to put in our packages. Yarn and snacks will be provided, as well as a limited number of hooks, needles, and looms. Please bring your own tools if you have them!
If you are not confident in your hat-making abilities, no worries! We will organize another event in a few weeks with volunteer mentors who can help you as you work. Stay tuned for further details.
Donations are not necessary to attend this event, but they are always welcome! We currently need drawstring bags, protein bars, toothpaste, travel shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and deodorant. You can also purchase items directly from our Amazon wish list that will be sent to the Indianapolis Liberation Center.
You can also donate to Hope Packages, an independent entity operating under the umbrella of the Indianapolis Liberation Center. If possible, we encourage you to become a monthly Sustainer at whatever price you can consistently afford. The more Sustainers we have, the more reliably we can organize and distribute our packages!
When you donate to Hope Packages, you’re not only helping our homeless community members survive but also working toward a larger overarching project of transforming our city. A transformation where instead of giving hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars to real estate developers and banks, we use that money to actually solve the structures and systems that cause homelessness. If you have questions or want to get more involved, reach out to us in person at the center or email info@indyhopepackages.org.
