January 20th National Day of Action

Tuesday, January 20
5:00 pm
Military Park

This Tuesday, January 20th, mobilize with the Indianapolis branch of the PSL and other affiliate organizations as we honor Dr. Martin Luther King’s legacy by standing in opposition to one year of ultra-right-wing policies enacted by the Trump administration. Their agenda, directly supported by the billionaire class, aims to destroy workers’ rights, deport millions of immigrant families, and pave the way for uncompromising capitalist control of the working and oppressed people in the United States.

In one year, the Trump administration has slashed environmental protection regulations, fired thousands of public sector workers, and shifted billions of dollars from healthcare and food programs towards funding immigration and enforcement, and the military-industrial complex. The right wing is gutting hard-won reforms to fund and arm ICE, which murdered Renee Nicole Good in the ongoing federal military occupation of Minneapolis. Meanwhile, Trump continues to gloat about the kidnapping of Venezuela’s head of state, Nicolas Maduro, and threatens war to steal the land and resources of any country around the world.

Elected legislators of both the Republican and Democratic parties have fallen deaf to the wishes of their constituents and refuse to effectively counter Trump’s many power grabs. The task of standing up to Trump and the billionaires’ agenda, therefore, falls to us, the people. We have the numbers and the strategy to counter this offensive! By withholding our labor and purchasing power, and by demonstrating, we will hit the capitalists where it hurts: their wallets.

Stand in solidarity with those resisting ICE in Minneapolis and take action with tens of thousands of people across the U.S. on January 20th!
