This Black History Month, join Hope Packages for a political history lesson! We’ll study and discuss the Black Panther Party’s 10-point program—what it was, why they used it, and how it supported their work. As the Trump administration fights to roll back the victories gained by the mass struggle for civil rights, we must learn from our revolutionary predecessors and those doing the work today. Our regular assembly will take place after the discussion.
You can support our work by donating to Hope Packages or becoming a monthly Sustainer at whatever price you can afford. The more Sustainers we have, the more reliably we can organize and distribute our packages!
We currently need toothpaste, travel shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and warm socks; you can purchase items directly from our Amazon wish list, which will be sent to the Indianapolis Liberation Center. When you donate to Hope Packages, you’re helping our homeless community members survive and working toward a larger overarching project of transforming our city; it is a transformation where instead of giving hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars to real estate developers and banks, we use that money actually to solve the structures and systems that cause homelessness.
