Join 1656 Club and Arte Mexicano en Indiana for a special community art-making experience inspired by Frida Kahlo as part of the Indianapolis annual tradition, “Frida by Colors,” started three years ago by Arte Mexicano en Indiana, Indianapolis Liberation Center, and the Fonesca-Du Bois Gallery
All ages and experience levels are welcome, and participants are encouraged to bring additional 2D art materials if desired.Completed works will be featured in the “Frida by Colors” exhibition at the Fonseca-DuBois Gallery inside the Indianapolis Liberation Center throughout July and August. Artists may finish their work during the event or take it home and submit it by June 28 at 1656 Club.
All participants receive a canvas, painting materials, and a specialty drink from 1656!
Come connect with fellow creatives, celebrate Frida Kahlo’s legacy, and be part of a community exhibition highlighting local talent and Latino arts in Indiana.
