At the annual Black August Liberation Forum organized by PSL Indianapolis, organizer Cecilia Gomez delivered a presentation about the world-historic significance of the Haitian revolution. From the first acts of resistance that accompanied repression to the long fight—inspired in many ways by the French Revolution—for independence, to the continued struggle for Haitian self-determination, the speech also shows how we can fight for Haiti’s autonomy right here in Indiana.
