A few weeks ago, Michael Zarick, the founder and host of “Third Space Indy,” sat down at the Liberation Center for a chat with one of our organizers Zarick said he’d wanted to interview for some time. Seated in front of an artwork by Sammy Penazola, the two discuss Penazola’s exhibition before turning to the prior exhibition at the Liberation Center’s Fonseca-Du Bois Gallery powered by Arte Mexicano en Indiana. That two-month long exhibition was the culminating curriculum and the first project of the Hispanic Cultural Hub. This leads to a discussion about identity, expression, solidarity, and the work Jay continues doing at the Liberation Center (including several of its member-organizations he’s joined).
