Last week, the Indianapolis branch of the Party for Socialism and Liberation organized a protest demanding the immediate release of political prisoner and Queering Indy member Titan Kelly as well as Jermaine Vaughn.
On Oct. 28, Kelly was convicted on two counts of “battery against a public safety official” for returning expired tear gas canisters to Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers who fired them during the uprising against racism. Kelly, in other words, is in jail for protecting the people from the cops.
In September, they violently attacked and assaulted Jermaine Vaughn for the “crime” of yelling in public. Vaughn remains in jail to this day.
